Looking for certain art on laartwork.com and can't find it?
Andy Warhol created his now iconic Marilyn Monroe the week she died as a "tribute to her beauty". Which is what I am attempting to do. Sometimes not the beauty but the awesomeness. What inspires us? What made Van Gogh paint peasants in the field, what was the inspiration for Jackson Pollock's paint splattering, Who made Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel? OK that was the Pope. But some artists paint sunsets and others weld junk metal. We all share the need to create and share our creations with others. I love movies, music and sports and choose to use those subjects to work from. I sell them not to be rich but to cover the costs of dissemination and to allow me to create new work.
